My passion for hair and all things beauty was my reason to enroll in beauty school. Before I started my journey to become a professional hairdresser, I was what you would call a "Kitchen hairdresser" for a number of years. I was always experimenting with my own hair and would often enlist my family and friends to be my models, more like (test subjects).
I became a hairstylist, because I wanted to make women look and feel beautiful about their hair however they decide to wear it. Being a curly girl myself, my journey wasn’t so easy in the beginning. A lot of trial and error along the way. So much has change since I became natural 24 years ago (I started at 9) lol. If I can help one curly girl love and embrace her natural curls, then mission accomplished.
Taking various educational classes each year to refresh and stay current with the ever-changing waves of the hair industry is so exciting. Investing in my career and learning something new has become such a trill for me. It’s the simple things that make me happy.
My favorite thing about being, a hairstylist is seeing the look on the clients faces after a service is complete.
Education is key to maintaining beautiful curls long after you’ve left the salon. Going natural is not easy, so many products on the market to choose from. I take the guest work out of it for you. I have tried and test products not only on myself but also my daughter who has been natural her entire life.
My vision for Curly Dimensions Salon is to touch and change the lives of each guest walking through our doors. I pride myself on giving the best individually personalized experience to each guest that we service. My mission is to educate them on maintaining healthy hair long after they left the salon.
When I'm not in the salon, you can find me being a wife to my supportive husband Robert with whom, I couldn't have done this without. Our 3 amazing kids Adrian, N'ya, and Gabrielle. We're a blended family and I'm so grateful for their unconditional love and encouragement. I enjoy reading a good book or listening to an inspiring podcast, or simply just a good heartfelt laugh. I am a serious movie buff. When time permits, I binge on 'Game of Thrones' and the 'Voice' when in season. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you with all your hair needs.
